feed the birds

wee one, 5X7, acrylic on canvas paper

It's a little past 5 pm and as I sit here, I can see the crows making their way back to their nests for the evening.  We've had a very cold winter here in Minnesota.  I am glad to know, though, that the days are getting longer and that even when the temperatures are below zero, the sun still shines.

just a (crow) babe, 5X7, acrylic on canvas paper

With the completion of eight new cow paintings in 2013 and their recent exhibit, I have had a little down time from painting with a lot of focus on other projects.

My husband and I spent a really cold day in our home, rearranging furniture and cleansing cluttered places.  We ended up moving the table where he used to build frames directly into my studio.  Aside from feeling the need for a space heater, my studio feels like it has a fresh face and I want to spend time in there again.

all fluffed up, 5X7, acrylic on canvas paper

These birds have been popping up, one at a time, just like they did last March.  The sparrows have been particularly fluffed up lately.

These are original paintings on 5 x 7 canvas paper and are available for $65.  Give me a shout out and let me know which one you'd like to purchase.  I will send you a paypal invoice and release it to fly on it's merry way.
