My studio is like a church…

 

I was recently reminded of the book, Lab Girl by Hope Jahren. I read it in 2017 and went back a bit to refresh my memory. All I need to do is replace the word lab for studio and this is also 💯 true for me:

“My laboratory is like a church because it is where I figure out what I believe...My lab is a place to go on sacred days... On holidays, when the rest of the world is closed, my lab is open.  My lab is a refuge and an asylum.  It is a retreat from the professional battlefield; it is the place where I coolly examine my wounds and repair my armor.”

Still gives me chills. 

After a summer out and about and @thecreateeverydayclassroom, I am looking forward to spending my days here.
