I facilitated a painting party on Friday night.

The hosts decided on our approach for the evening.  

In this case, it was a study of the Japanese artist, Miroco Machiko.

There were twelve women who participated while eating great food (this group decided on a potluck) and sipping wine and cocktails.  One of the most frequently asked questions I receive about events like this is if participants for these parties need to have any experience.  From what I understood when working with this particular group, most of these women had never taken an art or painting class.  They were exploring a new territory - together.  At first, some of them were really inhibited but we worked through it and, eventually, a beautiful creative flow occurred.  

It is so inspiring to be in the midst of such courage and creativity!
