I have been entranced with nature and all living things since my earliest years. Growing up in Northern California, I had the luxury of being able to play outside all of the time. I was continuously building forts, examining and collecting small wonders and trying to rehabilitate injured animals. It is only "natural" that these would be my subjects when creating.
If you are having trouble putting pen to paper, paint to canvas, or music to lyrics, return to the child of your youth. Ask him or her what she wants to do today. This process seems to always create movement. And once there is movement, there is always more...
