because everyone needs a guinea fowl, right?

I just posted a recent mixed media piece of a guinea fowl in my etsy shop this morning.  I figure, why not?  Who knows who may need a guinea fowl this holiday?  

When my husband and I married over 19 years ago (whew!  that's quite awhile ago, isn't it?  i really don't feel THAT old, REALLY), we received a paper mâché fish from a close friend. I remember the note that was enclosed with the fish said something like: "...because everyone needs a paper mâché fish."  Well, this thought stuck because, unlike OTHER wedding gifts that have been long gone, that paper mâché fish still lives on.  In fact, I can see it from where I am sitting now. Who would have thought?
