art classes for children: visual journaling

Our visual journaling art class series begins in MAY.   This class will introduce the practice of visual journaling, offering each student another life long channel with which to express themselves.

Each child will receive an 8X11 art journal while creating at least three entries in each class.  We will use a variety of art materials and explore different approaches to filling the page.

Children will be exposed to other visual journal examples as well as be given thoughtful and imaginative prompts to work with.

In addition to our journal entries, students will also explore one other art making method over the course of every class.  Several children's books, their authors and illustrators will also be introduced.  A healthy snack is served and Tucker, the dwarf rabbit, attends class too!

Sundays, May 4 - 25, 3:30-5:30

I know one of these dates falls on Mother's Day.
My apologies you Fantastic Moms!
